Air Pollution

The most serious environmental issue that we are Racing today is the air pollution. Unfortunately, our society is not aware of the damage that they’re causing to the planet. Everyday, we see new natural phenomena devastations around the globe and we still manage to not change our way of thinking towards this issue. As scientists start to discover the changes that our planet is suffering, the reality of the problem is being caused by the pollution that lies in the air of the atmosphere. However, several new projects are informing the people about this issue and we can help the planet survive.

Governments from all over the World are focusing on the environmental issues that Earth has. As a matter of fact, the U.S., one of the most influential country, is investing in “green” projects from organizations that are willing to make something on order to see a positive change to the problem. But what is the real cause for the terrible situation in which we are in? Well, basically we are talking of years and years that are society has constantly damage the layers in the atmosphere by throwing waste gases without knowing. Cars, trains and industries leave high a amount of polluted air to the atmosphere. The excessive energy that we use causes also a considerably high damage on the air.

The consequences that this issue carries are catastrophic and can originate several negative changes to the surface that will only leave suffering and death. Nature has always helped us in every aspect of our lives but we have never consider a way to return those favors back. Storms and tempetures are intensifying and causing for example, the melting of the ice poles. If the ice poles melt, the water levels will rise so all of the oceans and seas will cause devastions in ports and cities. These holes in the ozone layer are causing sun rays and heat to enter the atmosphere with more intensity. Farmers are aware of the issue because they are strugling with scarcity and low quality of their products. In a way, air pollution is something that affects everybody and you might not feel the change in your life at the moment but, you will eventually if nothing is done to stop the damage.

But what can we do against air pollution? Well, as you know cars that are not properly tuned leave toxic gases in the atmosphere causing a huge damage. So, carpooling is an alternative for those who are thinking of buying used cars because this reduces the traffic and the gases that are thrown out by the engine. Also, reducing the amount of electricity used will help stabilize the energy so that we use less and less each time. Recycling things and reusing products can also help because with a less amount of garbage, fewer gases will reach the sky. Companies around the world that use plastic containers, are using clean and purified cans to prevent a damage in the atmosphere (It’s also cheaper). These are some of the ways you can contribute to this issue to reduce the damage that our planet having.

Air pollution is basically the most serious issue that we’re facing today. Governments are trying to reduce the problem by investing funds in new projects that can inform others about the issue and how we can solve it. The damages caused by air pollution can be catastrophic to nature and to human life. It is important to consider the ways you can reduce air polliution to avoid issues in the future. Air pollution can cause terrible damage to life but if you are aware of the changes you can make in order to fight against the issue, we can still save our planet.

Video Commercial Projects

The commercials were pretty good and they definitely reflected the creativity and skill some of my classmates have. I personally enjoyed them all but I had a few favorite. The one Jose did about Coke, was very funny and it was perfectly edited. Marifer's really showed the purpose of the commercial and her creativity to relate the animals to an institution. The three Mastercard ads were also very creative and full of entertaining scenes. My video is still in the process of editing so I need to add some things that will show different effects. In general, they were all great and in my opinion they are fine the way the are so they don't to be changed or manipulated.

New technologies

I think these new technologies are just making our life easier every day. With the senses you can now control objects, that sounds pretty awesome but I don't know if I desire to have one. Maybe in the near future it would be great to sort of interact with the things that were design to stay on a wall and just make your own ideas. It sounds like it is a good proposal for education because we can now improve our skills with our sense of touch. The other thing in which I was amazed is how you can take pictures and edit them in the palm of your hand or any wall available. The information that this software has is incredible, it can relate everything in your hand with the facts online or included in the software.

The greatest things of this technology are definitely the way in which you interact with any object of the physical world. For example, it can show you a video of a related article in the newspaper in the wall or in the newspaper itself. Or it can also give you the information displayed in your boarding pass and inform you about the flight conditions. It can do almost everything,we can say it is the new way in which science and technology bond together with the computing technologies and create a software for everyone. This can also have its limitations like for example, if you're having a class or a meeting, i wouldn't imagine how would that be with everyone using this software. It would be like if there were robots in the room, all the values and other moral teachings would not be displayed.

When he says this software is going to be open source he refers that the technology is going to be available for people with no restrictions. This could be a great opportunity for us to take advantage of the situation and use this software to interact with technology. Without a doubt the software has everything it needs to succeed and I'm sure we would see it in the future but, when he says it would be available for everyone, I doubt it would last because people try to adjust it to their own purposes and goals. Making this open source would leave out other projects that were aiming to charge something, out of the market.

Sexting Article

Jessica Logan was a girl involved in a sexting issue that caused her death due to depression. The school is not responsible for her death as their parents think, but it is important to know both sides for this problem. When her picture appeared in almost every cellphone of Sycamore High she went to get an advice and help from the school's councelor. The only help she could get is a "there's nothing I can do" from the authorities of the school. Their parents are arguing that they could've tried agressive ways to attack this issue. The only guilty is her boyfriend because he is the one that started circulating the picture of her naked.

The school is not guilty of this issue because they are not responsible for others actions, although their part of the society inside the school. Chacking every cellphone or every blog account from the students would invade people's privacy and it would be worthless cause the students would still have the pictures. The real guilty as a I said, is the boyfriend he should feel worse than any of the students because he is the real responsible for lowering Jessica's self-steem.

School Posting

According to teachers, there has been an offensive posting against some staff members of the school. They are planning new ways to avoid this kinds of situations from students, which i think is kind old harsh because not all them are guilty or have to do with that issue. When involving others as targets to make fun of, can be rude and quite disrespectful, but as i say, not all students have to do with this problem, it might only be one. Now that we know the school is concerned, students can now be more careful with what they post or just start by getting rid of the staff members in their contacts.

Facebook security

The new Facebook security measures are quite strict but they hope to get a better functionality in users providing a safer zone for them to interact. The new things implemented include an age for members to start creating their blogs. The 13 year old limit is one of the most criticized because teens want to have the freedom to get to share pictures and comments with their friends and family. It seems users have more restrictions but new ways they can be affected online by other users, this is why they are creating a list of things you should consider when your login in. I think this would last because although it might change some stuff in the general idea of Facebook, it can provide a safer service for users.

Video Editing

On the video project I think I'm going to create a commercial for a new soccer ball.
My team is Jose Vallarta and Raffa Kollinger.
Im planning on having a short commercial with someone freestyling with the product.

Academic career

My academic career started here in the American School since I was like 6 years old. Soon, I was taught how to use technology as a helping tool for school. Throught the years things got more complicated in terms of the usage of new programs but at the same time they serve as tools. Technology has been part of many of us since we were little. I had Mr. Davis for 2 years and he taught me how to use programs like Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

When I left the American School for 3 years, I had to use a laptop in my new school instead of books and notebooks. This was great in some ocasions because we get to use the computer not only as a search engine for school work and homework, but also as an organization tool which helped sometimes. Using technology had its pro's and con's but overall it was a good idea because sometime in the future Im pretty sure things would be more like that.

I remember having a project with Mr. Davis about creating a web pages that took weeks and weeks. He was teaching us the basics of Notepad but the majority of us weren't that good at building them. I think I might remember that project because I was not good at it. Teachers should integrate technology in their daily presentations because it gets the students attention and I think we were remember it easily.

Roto Ball Animation Projection

The Roto Ball Project was finally done and it turned out it wasn't that difficult as other animation projects we did in the past. I honestly thought this was going to be much harder than the first animation we handed in. The creation of the video was the fun part because we get to pick an action for 15 seconds and trace ourselves with Flash Media. The part i didnt like was the ball tracing because it needed to interact with the trace we did at first. Overall it was Ok and I'm pretty sure next year, the seniors will also enjoy this project.

Flash animation

My animation in flash was OK to be the first I did. There are many things I would like to improve in it but I think the final product is good. The flash program is difficult to use at first but once you get into it, things start to get easier. I was really frustatted at first when I saw all the things that we needed to include in the animation, but then it turned out, things werent that tough. The teacher help me alot with the project because I had many doubts.

In general, my final product was Ok because I knew how to insert music in the animation but I wanted to change some things. I would like to learn how to make the effect of something turning around, or an arm throughing a stick. I hope the next project is way easier than the last one because most of us were having trouble understanding flash.

I remember the time when we all gather to celebrate Christmas in Mexico city. It was one of the few times when my entire family got together for a holiday. My parents and my aunts and uncles, spent like an entire day making dinner while my brothers and I went to buy gifts for our cousins. It was nice day so we decided to go to most of the malls in the city to pick a present. My cousins were heading to Ireland and England two days after Christmas so they wanted to spend time with us. My mom and my aunts were placing all the dinner table but they were having a good time remembering things of the past.

I chose this tree because the image is high quality and it's big enough to work with the pictures. I think the tree image is helpful because it has certain elements like the light of the sun and the blue sky that make it cool to work with. The only thing I need to worry now is putting all the pictures in that tree.

Social Media

Social Media has been evolving in time since we first started worring of what happened in the world while we were in other places. People get involve in social media because they are interested in knowing things that happen to friends, family, etc. Users might want to meet you with random intentions so thats way you need to be prepared. Education towards the Internet media has to be in depth because you need know what and how are using in the Internet.

The interesting part of the internet is that you can interact with people,find accurate information and download movies and music. Internet has been the basic form of social media having people read the news in the internet rather than buying the newspaper. I think the fact that social media has been evolving in time is great for all of us who share or interact with others but it has many dangers too. People might wanna meet you in Facebook or other social media blog, and have bad intentions towards you meaning that they might share your information with others. There have been many cases that thanks to these kind of situations, people get kidnap. I am sure most of us wont share a thing with strangers but we just need to be informed.

In conclusion i think the evolution of social media is a great thing for society because although you can fall in the habit of checking your blog accounts instead of practicing some sport, this is definitely a good thing. People can intereact with others and also, mentioning the internet, it is safe to know the dangers and you might want to be well informed to prevent situations that can affect you.

Blogging

Blogging is a way of communicating with others by using posts and comments. I expect to comment on others' blog and write about the content in each blog.
Well, we started creating this blog last class on blogger. We added our personal information and chose a layout for the blog, as well as different characteristics. We all posted our mails on facebook and shared our addresses.
